The charter adopted by the United Nations Conference on International Organization at San Francisco, April-June, 1945, making the United Nations a permanent organization, and establishing the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council, the International Court of Justice, and the Secretariat as its component parts.
