Definition of: Guinea worm
A slender, threadlike nematode worm (Dracunculus medinensis), common in tropical Africa and Asia. The larva parasitically enters the stomach of man or animal, usually in drinking water, and makes its way to the subcutaneous connective tissue, especially, in man, of the legs and feet.
