Definition of: Supreme War Council

An international body with headquarters at Versailles, composed of representatives of the Entente nations, of their allies, and of the United States, established at the end of World War I, to determine the terms of peace. This was accomplished by the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, June 28, 1919.
