1. A small antechamber between the outer door of a building and an interior one; an entrance hall; lobby.
2. An enclosed passage from one railway passenger car to another.
3. Formerly, a walled place before the entrance to a Roman or Greek house; later, a porch.
4. Anat. Any one of several chambers or channels adjoining or communicating with others: the vestibule of the ear.
