1. The faculty or sense of sight, localized in the eye, which, with its receptors and associated organs, is normally adapted to receive the stimulus of radiant energy within a certain range of wavelengths.

3. A mental representation of or as of external objects or scenes, as in sleep; an apparition; dream; fantasy; specifically, an inspired revelation.
4. Some product of the fancy or imagination; an imaginary or unreal thing: visions of sugarplums.
