A reflexive and often emphatic form of the pronoun of the second person. Yourself is employed as a simple objective: This rests with yourself, or in apposition with you: You did it yourself. Its use as a subject nominative is obsolete. Yourself is also used reflexively: You've cut yourself, and, rarely, as a substantive: You're not yourself today. Also Scot. your·sel′.
