The one that I detest is LOL, that is also confusing and seems to be used by persons of low self esteem. Really confused me for years especially when used by humans of my own generation, I am 59 yrs. of age. Avoid it. Examples; “I just burnt the dinner, my wife is NOT happy with me LOL!” ‘Our neighbors’ house burnt down but we were able to save most of ours LOL.’ ‘Went hiking in BC and got attacked by a Grizzly, that was a month ago. Just got out of the hospital,LOL.’ ‘Itchy all over, was also thrown into a patch of poison ivy by the irate bear. Especially on my ass, me and Sue were making love at the time. LOL but painful.’ Here is what I use and it at first confuses all. I started it. Try LLL,it is gooder. LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE.

LikeDislikeNo it is not. LMAO recognizes that someone has taken the time to get personal, be creative, have some fun in a communication. LOL indicates that people do not really wish it upon you because if they did, one would spell out Lots of love or as my acquaintances do, Love you. If they could. A very lazy way of saying ‘I really do not give a shit about what you said, I am not sure, it is all about me anyway.’ Look at where people insert LOL and you will see what mean. When you talk to someone eye to eye, do you throw in LOL after every phrase? Take care. LOL.
