Definition of: cloverleaf

(klō′vər·lēf′) noun
1. An open automobile of early style, seating three or four persons, with entrance only through doors in front of forward seats.
2. A highway intersection designed so as to route traffic without interference, by means of a system of curving ramps from one level to another, in the form of a four-leaf clover.
3. Aeron. A testing maneuver in which an airplane flies in a course or pattern like a double figure–8 or a highway cloverleaf.
