(kong′koid) noun Math.
A curve traced by the locus of a point at the end of a straight line segment of fixed length rotating about the polar axis in such a way that the length of a perpendicular from the curve to a fixed straight line (its asymptote) is in constant proportion to the length of the segment, and so that the segment of the line intercepted by the curve and its asymptote is of constant length.
