1. Having bounds, ends, or limits, as opposed to that which is infinite.
2. That may be determined, counted, or measured.
3. Subject to creature limitations, especially those that affect human life.
4. Gram. Limited by number and person: said of verb forms that can serve as predicates in sentences: distinguished from infinitives, participles, and gerunds that have no such limitations.
