This is incorrect. The word Kapenaar has nothing to do with race. Even tough one could probably call anyone from the Western Cape, Eastern Cape or Northern Cape provinces (previously all part of the old Cape Province) a \"Kapenaar\" in Afrikaans, it is used most commonly to designate a person from Cape Town and surrounds or in a broader sense for those from the Western Cape Province.
