Definition of: St Lawrence River

A river of SE Canada, the outlet of the Great Lakes system, flowing 744 miles NE from the NE end of Lake Ontario to the Gulf of St. Lawrence, an inlet of the North Atlantic between Newfoundland and eastern Canada; together with the Great Lakes and the St. Marys River it forms a waterway about 2,350 miles long, from the western end of Lake Superior to the Atlantic.
