1. The condition of being stable; steadiness.
2. The quality or character of being steady or constant; steadfastness of purpose or resolution.
3. Physics The state of being in stable equilibrium, or the degree of such equilibrium as measured by the force with which a body tends to maintain its condition of rest or steady motion.
