A West Indies island group north of Trinidad, comprising four British colonies, all federating units of The West Indies, on the islands of Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent, together with the Grenadines; 820 square miles; capital, St. George's, on Grenada. The French island of Martinique; Barbados, a British colony; and three islands of the Netherlands Antilles, Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, are also sometimes included in this group.
