The war for freedom will never really be won because the price of our freedom is constant vigilance over ourselves and over our Government.

It means the world to me… I LOVE IT
I undertstand it to mean because we must always pay attention to our freedom and to what our government is doing that we will never obtain freedom. Constant watchfulness doesn’t afford us freedom. It keeps us busy.

LikeDislikeI personally think that it means that even though we fight for freedoms and win sometimes, we are never really ever going to be free because after one freedom battle, comes another one. We will always have to fight for freedom, whether over small things in life or situations that could cause a whole riot.
