(dēd) noun
1. Anything done; an act.
2. An exploit, a notable achievement.
3. Fact; truth; reality.
4. Action performed, as opposed to words.
5. Law A written instrument containing a grant signed and sealed by the grantor; an instrument of conveyance under seal: a deed for land. Any instrument in writing under seal, whether a bond, agreement, or contract of any kind, is a deed, but the word is more frequently used in regard to the conveyance of real estate.
