(snout) noun
1. The forward projecting part of a beast's head, especially of a swine's; proboscis; muzzle.
2. Some similar anterior prolongation of the head of an animal, as the rostrum of a gastropod or that of a weevil.
3. Something resembling a hog's snout, such as the nozzle of a hose, a pipe, or the like; a blunt projection, as of rock; or, contemptuously, a person's nose.
