Definition of: enough

(i·nuf) adjective
Adequate for any demand or need; sufficient.
noun An ample supply; a sufficiency.
adverb So as to be sufficient; sufficiently.
interj. It is enough; stop.
[OE genoh, genog] Synonyms (adj.): ample, sufficient. Enough is relative, denoting a supply equal to a given demand. Sufficient is an equivalent of the Saxon enough, with no perceptible difference of meaning, but only of usage, enough being the more blunt, homely, and forcible word, while sufficient is in many cases the more elegant or polite.
