1. A hard bonelike growth projecting from the head of various hoofed mammals, as oxen, sheep, cattle, etc.; also, the antler of a deer, shed annually.
2. Any hardened and thickened outgrowth of epidermal tissue, as a feeler, antenna, tentacle, etc.
3. A feather tuft, as on the head of some birds.
4. The appendage like an animal's horn attributed to demons, deities, etc.
